Drew Elder is a Lead Scientist for Food Protection (Antioxidants) at Kalsec, Inc., USA. Drew received his Ph.D. (2021) in food science from the Pennsylvania State University where his research focused on the identification and extraction of natural antioxidants from cereal grains and testing their efficacy in a variety of food systems. At Kalsec, Drew works on new product development including evaluating and designing novel, natural antioxidant solutions tailored for specific food applications. Drew has been a member of AOCS since 2017 and is currently serving as the vice chair of the Lipid Oxidation and Quality division.
