Ranjan Patnaik, PhD

A diversified industry executive who currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at MycoTechnology, Inc. In this role he is responsible for Myco's proprietary global technology & product application development platform. The platform is anchored in harnessing the diverse metabolism and functional ingredients from culinary mushrooms to develop Whole Foods that are nutritious, better tasting and healthier for you. Prior to MycoTechnology, he was the CTO at EVERY™ , formerly Clara Foods, South San Francisco where he was responsible for developing the company's global technology strategy, technology platform, Intellectual Property (IP) strategy, manufacturing supply chain, and operational best practices to manufacturing Nature Equivalent, Animal-Free derived proteins via precision fermentation. During his more than a decade long tenure at DuPont, Ranjan gained extensive experience in the field of global R&D innovation ecosystem development that spanned across multiple segments from industrial biotechnology, synthetic biology, agriculture, nutrition & machine learning. Dr. Patnaik has authored many peer-reviewed articles and participated in multiple international conferences, panel discussions, grant committees and television programs related to innovation and entrepreneurship. He is a co-inventor in more than a dozen granted patents & patent applications. He holds a bachelor’s and a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), India, and Texas A&M University (TAMU), USA, respectively.
