Precision fermentation has matured during the last years and a number of nature identical food proteins (eg. from milk and egg) are now available on the market. One of the next steps in the precision fermentation journey may be new tailor-made products with specific functionality. Novozymes and Arla Food Ingredients have entered into a collaboration with the focus of developing solutions for disease-specific medical nutrition – a category in which protein is an essential component.
