Katie Vassalli, NOPA’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, joined NOPA in 2019 and is responsible for leading NOPA's advocacy efforts in addressing environmental, worker health & safety, and food & feed safety regulations impacting oilseed processing facilities. In this role, Mrs. Vassalli provides critical support to NOPA's Advocacy Committee, Regulatory Subcommittee and advisory groups and serves on cross-sector coalitions focused on federal regulatory initiatives impacting NOPA members and industry at large. Prior to joining NOPA, she spent over 11 years at the International Liquid Terminals Association managing advocacy and educational outreach programs focused on promoting regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, occupational health and safety, enterprise management, and leadership development among aboveground storage industry professionals. Mrs. Vassalli holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Studies: Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics & Government from American University.
