Gabriela Campos is a Ph.D. student at Carleton University, working under the supervision of Dr. Tsopmo in the Food Science department. Her research focuses on determining the effects of endophytic bacteria on enhancing the nutritional quality, secondary metabolites, and biological activity of hydroponically grown basils and sweet peppers. Gabriela also earned her Master’s degree under Dr. Tsopmo's supervision, where she assessed digested oat bran proteins for their antioxidant activity, as well as their inhibition of LDL oxidation and bile acid binding capacity. She is preparing to graduate this year and is actively seeking job opportunities in the relevant field.
