Dr Matthew David Ezema is a Visiting Researcher in the School of Nutrition Sciences, University of Ottawa Canada. I obtained my B.Sc degree in Biochemistry with second class (Hons) Upper-division from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1995. I also obtained both Master's and Doctorate degrees in Biochemistry from Bayero University Kano in 2006 and 2017 respectively. I also got a distinction in Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the Federal College of Education Kano (Affiliated to the University of Maiduguri).
My research interest spanned Nutritional/Clinical Biochemistry; with a special interest in Protein/Peptide Chemistry as well as Pharmacology/Phytomedicine with a special interest in Malaria Epidemiology and Therapeutics in sub-Saharan Africa, which I have several articles published in both National and International Journals to my credit.
Dr Ezema joined the service of the Federal University Oye- Ekiti in May 2018 as an Assistant Lecturer and was later upgraded to lecturer II the same year. Presently, I was promoted to Lecturer 1. I am a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria.
