Postdoctoral Fellow
University of Saskatchewan
Saskatoon, SK, Canada
Ryan Kung is a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. John Tse in the Department of Physics & Engineering Physics at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He defended his doctoral thesis on using computer modelling to understand DNA damage and repair in December 2021 at the University of Lethbridge, Canada. In collaboration with Dr. Ramaswami Sammynaiken from the Saskatchewan Structural Sciences Centre, and Dr. Supratim Ghosh from the Department of Food and Bioproduct Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan, his current work focused on using various computational modelling techniques to study the complex atomic behavior of flaxseed oil. Specifically, he is working towards understanding the initial stages of flaxseed oil oxidative degregation and its interaction with natural and synthetic antioxidants in different environments.
