Dr. Joseph Msanne is a research molecular biologist who recently joined the Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS).
Dr. Msanne's research and interests center around understanding the physiology and metabolic regulations that govern the synthesis of biofuels and biomaterials in plants, algae, and yeast. When he is not doing research or writing scientific prose, he practices martial arts and enjoys outdoors acitivities like hiking and snowboarding (in winter).
