Andrea is a PhD alumna from Dr. Juliana Bell’s lab at the University of California, Davis Food Science Department. Her project explores scalable, sustainable technologies to optimize processing strategies at pilot-scale to extract bioactive components from dairy waste and explore their biological properties. The goal of this work is to revalorize waste and produce a viable, health-promoting, commercial product.
