Mathias Mews is a Bioprocess Engineer and Biotechnologist for the Federal University of Paraná, and his finishing an MBA in Project Management. He is passionate about biotechnology and believes bringing economic value to biodiversity is the best way to preserve it, and biotechnology is the key to this process. Mathias has experience with enzymatic hydrolysis optimization, analytical chemistry, quality control and he's also worked as a Process Engineer in the bioinoculant industry. Currently, he is an Industry Technology Specialist at Novonesis, technically supporting 25 clients in the Oils & Fats industry within Latin America.

At AOCS Montreal Mathias will present Smart Degumming® - a new solution for degumming process optimization through automation and digital tools.
