Dr. Edmund Mupondwa is a Project Leader/Research Scientist, Bioproducts and Bioprocesses (Saskatoon Research and Development Centre, Science and Technology Branch, AAFC, Government of Canada). He is nationally recognized for his interdisciplinary expertise and is widely consulted by senior leadership, industry, science colleagues, and other stakeholders. Dr. Mupondwa provides leadership in technoeconomic analysis of bioproducts and bioprocesses; sustainability, life cycle assessment, and viability assessment of agri-based feedstocks in the context of the biorefinery concept and the bioeconomy. He has led numerous national and multinational projects involving multidisciplinary teams. His leadership and management skills are augmented by an MBA from the Edwards School of Business (University of Saskatchewan). Dr. Mupondwa is also Adjunct Professor, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Saskatchewan. He has published numerous scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Xue Li is a researcher at Bioproducts and Bioprocesses, Saskatoon Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, with a background in Agricultural and Chemical Engineering. Her current research focuses on the techno-economic analysis and life-cycle assessment of agricultural waste and products, biomass, biofuel, biorefinery, and sustainable energy.
