Lucas Moore, PhD

As Colonial Chemical’s VP of R&D, Lucas Moore is responsible for executing the company’s global innovation and technical service portfolio. He is primarily focused on the development and application of specialty surfactants for personal care, metalworking fluids, oil and mining, home and car care, and others. Lucas joined Colonial Chemical in April of 2022.

Lucas holds a Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry with an emphasis in Synthesis and Coordination Chemistry from the University of Alabama (2006) and was a Post-doctoral Research fellow at the University of Arkansas focused on organometallic synthesis and coordination chemistry. Lucas has more than 15 years of experience in the specialty surfactants industry with positions at Arkema-ArrMaz, Kemira, and Ciba Specialty Chemicals. He is the author and co-author of more than 75 publications and is the co-inventor of more than 25 patent applications.
