Dr. Ying Li is an Associate Professor from Department of Food Science and Engineering in Jinan University, China. He obtained his Master and PhD degree from France in 2010 and 2014, respectively. After periods of working in GREEN Extraction Team as a postdoctoral research fellow (2014-2015) and Yunnan Reascend Group (2015-2017) as the R&D director, he moved to Jinan University in 2017 and became an associate professor in 2019. He was elected as the head of Department of Food Science and Engineering in 2020. His main research interests are focused on innovative and sustainable extraction techniques, protocols, and solvents (especially microwave, ultrasound, and alternative green solvents) for green extraction and value-added processing of characteristic plants and their wastes with great potential in food, cosmetics, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries. His research activity is documented by more than 30 scientific peer-reviewed papers, and about the same number of conferences and communications to scientific and industrial meetings, two Springer books, four book chapters and 10 patents.
