Nadeem Akhtar, PhD

Dr. Nadeem Akhtar is a research scientist at CBS Bio Platforms Inc., a Canadian agri-feed technology company.

He has over a decade of experience using bitechnology to support animal agriculture and the 'One Heatlh' approach. Dr. Akhtar has led interdisciplinary research mainly for feed ingredient technology and product development, primarily for livestock, poultry, and fish aquaculture, from conceptualization through commercialization, with a high degree of customer focus.

During his academic tenure at the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo, Canada, he worked across different animal species, including companion animals. He holds a patent grant, a feed ingredient registration application with CFIA, and has contributed to over 28 journal articles, 12 book chapters, and 4 edited books. Dr. Akhtar's work reflects his dedication to advancing agricultural biotechnology for sustainable animal food production in an eco-friendly manne.
