I joined South Dakota State University as a masters student in Dr. Bishnu Karki's lab in Biological sciences-microbiology specialization starting from fall 2023. I have an undergraduate degree on food technology. My master's research focuses on the valorization of two major agroindustrial byproducts, thin stillage and soybean hulls using fungal fermentation. This project can be an alternative approach on the utilization of these low valued substrates and explore their expanded applications as high valued products.
