Matthew Dunn is a Responsible Biofuels-Technical Manager in the Energy, Biomaterials, and Circularity division of SCS Global Services, a Benefit Corporation and Certification Body for sustainability standards, including ISCC (PLUS), RSB, RSPO and many others.
SCS was founded in 1984 by its late founder, Dr. Stanley Rhodes, to advance environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and product safety through the application of sound scientific analysis. Celebrating 40 years in business, SCS continues to be a leader in the field, working across the economy in natural resources, food and agriculture, built environment, consumer products, and climate sectors.
In his role, Matt conducts certification audits to the ISCC standards, EU & PLUS, across the range of supply chains with eligible materials (incl. finished fuels & their feedstocks, circular polymers, and more), and Matt is thankful for the invitation to join this esteemed panel and attend AOCS for the first time. Prior to joining SCS in 2022, Matt worked for over 12 years in Quality Management roles, for laboratories that conducted investigational product failure, and formulation and de-formulation, analyses; that performed bioanalytical testing in support of pharmaceuticals in all phases of clinical trials; and for a biological drug manufacturer harvesting stem cells from donated umbilical cord blood in the service of cellular-therapy transplants to leukemia and lymphoma patients in North America.
His formal education is in analytical chemistry with a focus in atmospheric chemistry and sustainability.
