Prof. Hong Chen graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Wuhan University, China in 1986 and received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at Department of Chemistry of Wuhan University in China in 2002; Dr. Chen did his post-doctoral training in Prof. Shigeru. Terabe’ lab at graduate school of material science, University of Hyogo in Japan between 2003 and 2005. Dr. Chen joined the Oil Crops Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences as a research faculty since 1986. Dr. Hong Chen is professor of Oil Crops Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences since 2011. Dr. Chen has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in journals (81 papers in international journals) and 5 invited book chapters. Dr. Chen holds 11 national patents.
Prof. Chen has broad research interests in Product Processing and Nutriology of oil-crops; Metabolomics (Lipidomics) of oil-crops; Bio-analytical Chemistry; and Sustainable bio-refinery based on oil-crops. His current research interests focus on (1) Methodology of metabolomics (lipidomics) of oil-crops; and (2) Modification of Structure Lipid.
