My background is in chemsitry and biochemistry. After completing a Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana, I continued post-doctoral work at Tufts University School of Medine in Boston MA with an emphasis on protein biochemistry. My industrial work experinece started at Quantum Chemicals Emery Divison as a group leader in applied biotechnology, focusing on the applicaiton of biological processes to solve challenges in specialty chemical production. Career shifts lead me to a series of technical business development roles in the areas of agricultural, fermentation and medical specialties for Henkel Corporation and then Cognis Corporation before taking on a busines development role in the area of enhanced oil recovery with BASF Corporation. SInce 2014, I have returned to the agricultural market space managing the development efforts for inert / adjuvant components for the AgChem Additives team of the Industrial Formulators busines unit of BASF.
