I am Negin Sharafbafi born and raised in an education-oriented family in Tehran, Iran. I have shown a lot of interest in chemistry courses when in high school. I also have developed a passion for cooking food. The combination of these interests has lead me to Food Science field. My academic journey in food science commenced at Azad University, Iran, culminating in a Bachelor's degree. After bachelors I have worked for different companies including a Sunflower oil manufacturer, a soft drink manufacturer, and a yogurt manufacturer. Seeking greater expertise, I have pursued and attained both Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Food Science from University of Guelph in Canada.
For the past decade, I have served as the Global Innovation Manager at IFF.Inc, located in NJ, USA; leading various projects focused on flavors for alternative protein products. I am committed to shaping the future of food science, advocating for innovation, sustainability, and mentoring the next generation of industry leaders. I am married and have two kids, which I love to spend time with. In addition to cooking food, I enjoy reading books, biking, walking, and traveling.
