In 2011, Stepan advanced our hard surface cleaning analysis with a stroke-by-stroke video methodology, setting a new industry standard. As demand for high-performance products grew, we incorporated Design of Experiments (DOE) principles into our research, particularly for rhamnolipid cleaning formulations. However, this approach still required extensive cleaning evaluations and lengthy analyses.
In 2024, once again, a new standard is set with an automated process that reduces analysis time from hours to minutes and removes human error. This development was spurred by our extensive rhamnolipid research in Household, Industrial, and Institutional (HI&I) cleaning, where we analyzed over 100 samples. Python was chosen for its accessibility and broad selection of open source libraries for scientists.
This presentation will focus on the logic behind the Python program and its significant impact. We will demonstrate its application in our rhamnolipid DOE, highlighting how this accelerated analysis is essential for efficient and effective formulation development, saving considerable time and resources.
