There is a continued market need for more sustainable dish detergents. Consumers are looking for cleaning products that are biobased and biodegradable, but do not compromise on stain removal performance. At the same time, consumers are looking for convenience. They want a dish detergent that works no matter what cycle they choose, Eco, normal or short cycles.
Enzymes play a key role in today’s dish detergents. IFF will share its recent advances in biotechnology to improve the short cycle performance of enzymes for the dishwashing segment.
Enabled by 40 years of protein engineering experience, our enzymes are highly effective and addresses the consumer need for a first time clean, even under more stressed cycle conditions. As bio-based ingredients, our enzymes allow for performance in convenient and consumer relevant wash cycles. This enables the consumer to bring home sustainability, choosing the cycle they want while using more compacted detergnet formulations that don't compromise on the result.
At IFF we are passionate about the potential of protein engineering and industrial biotechnology, and we continue to develop new biomaterials that deliver performance, naturally better.
